Meredith “Mimi” Addy, co-founder and partner of boutique intellectual property law firm AddyHart P.C. in Chicago, Ill., is again this year listed in Band 1 of the 2020 Chambers USA rankings for Intellectual Property in Illinois, Chambers’ highest possible designation, and is for the second year in a row the only female attorney ranked in Chambers USA’s top two bands for intellectual property law.
Each spring, Chambers USA publishes its annual guide to the leading law firms and most accomplished attorneys in the United States, based on it, independent research. Chambers and Partners rankings are assessed by an experienced team of 200+ researchers. Chambers bases its rankings on interviews with clients and peer attorneys, its evaluation of individual attorneys’ legal knowledge, experience, ability, effectiveness, and client service; and its assessment of attorneys’ recent work.

Chambers also lists Addy in its global guide in the category Intellectual Property: Patent – USA, citing sources who state that she is a “wonderful attorney” who is “well-known and respected” for her handling of appellate proceedings at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In its national guide, Chambers again emphasizes Addy’s capabilities in life sciences patent litigation.
Addy co-founded AddyHart P.C. as a boutique intellectual property and litigation firm in January of 2019. Formerly a partner and practice leader at several AmLaw 50 law firms, Addy has received significant recognition during an exemplary career focused on intellectual property litigation and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
