Chambers USA, the research organization that publishes an annual guide to the leading law firms and most accomplished attorneys in the United States, has again accorded AddyHart co-founder and partner Meredith “Mimi” Addy a Band 1 ranking for Intellectual Property – Illinois, its highest possible designation.
Addy, who co-founded AddyHart P.C. as a boutique intellectual property and litigation firm in January, is the only female attorney listed in Band 1 for Intellectual Property in Illinois, and the only attorney with a firm outside the AmLaw 50 to be accorded the Band 1 ranking.
According to Chambers USA, “Addy received plaudits in the market for her significant experience advising on a range of IP disputes and appellate proceedings.” The guide also cites her “expertise across the life sciences sector.”
Chambers also lists Addy in its global guide in the category Intellectual Property: Patent – USA, citing sources who state that she is a “wonderful attorney” who is “well-known and respected” for her handling of appellate proceedings at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Chambers again notes that Addy is particularly distinguished by her capabilities in life sciences patent litigation.
Chambers research team bases its rankings on interviews with clients and peer attorneys, its evaluation of individual attorneys’ legal knowledge, experience, ability, effectiveness, and client service, and its assessment of attorneys’ recent work. More information is at https://chambers.com.
